Send the invoice. Get paid. And find the books already right.

You write the invoice. KRONENWERK does the rest of it: the check before it leaves the building, the page your customer pays on, and the entries behind both. Underneath sits a real double-entry ledger, which is why the numbers you look at are the numbers you eventually file.

The KRONENWERK home screen: cash on hand from the ledger, money in and out this month, what needs attention today, what customers owe you and what you owe.
The overview, as it actually looks. Every figure on it comes out of the ledger.

Everything in one place

What a small business needs — and nothing it does not.

  • Invoices that pass the check

The document your country requires — the e-invoice Germany, France or Belgium demands, the invoice with GST and QST on two lines that Québec expects — checked before it gets a number.

  • Books that are books

Double-entry, append-only, every entry names its document. Profit and loss, balance sheet, aging — from the ledger, not from a list.

  • Receipts and supplier bills

Photograph or forward. The figures are read as printed and wait for your confirmation — with the file on the record.

  • One job, every document

Quote, purchase order, supplier bills, drawings, photos, invoice and payments under one number — inside the accounting, not beside it.

  • An assistant that does the typing

Connect Claude or ChatGPT. “Record this bill on the Meyer job” is the whole task. You keep the signature.

  • Your accountant can look in

Invite the practice; it opens your company with the rights you give and finds the documents where they belong. You end the engagement, not the practice.

Accounting with AI

Say it. The assistant records it. You approve.

KRONENWERK runs an MCP server that Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants connect to in five minutes — no key to copy. The assistant reads your books, records receipts and drafts invoices. How far it may go is your setting: read only, propose, or act up to a limit you set. Every act is on the record.

  • Who still owes us money, and how overdue is it?
  • Three invoices are open: Meyer €4,120, 12 days overdue; Dubois €980, 4 days; Lambert €2,300, due today. Shall I draft a reminder to Meyer?
  • Yes. And record the Toptek bill from the attachment on job V2026-0142.
  • Reminder drafted. Toptek bill recorded: €1,812.50 net, €344.38 tax, PDF attached — waiting for your confirmation.
An example, not a transcript: the figures are invented, the behaviour is not.

Before the invoice

The customer answers on a page they do not have to sign up for.

The quote page as a customer sees it: sender, recipient, the line items, GST and QST as two lines, the total and two buttons — accept or decline.
The page in the language the estimate was written in — not the reader's.

An estimate gets a protected address of its own. Whoever opens it sees exactly the revision that was sent and presses accept or decline. The acceptance binds to that revision — not to whatever the draft says by now. Nothing is posted: the bookkeeping begins at the invoice.

How estimates work

When money moves

Nought per cent. Not „from“, not „up to“, not „for the first year“.

When your customer pays an invoice online, the charge is created on your own account at the payment provider and paid out there. KRONENWERK is nowhere in that path. The provider takes its fee; we take nothing.

  • The charge is created on your account, not on ours.
  • Refunds and chargebacks are posted, in both directions.
  • And without cards at all: record transfers, partial amounts, foreign currencies.

How payments work

Switching

One afternoon, once the exports are in hand.

  1. Export

Customers, suppliers, invoices, bills and a trial balance — CSV or XLSX, QuickBooks' zip included.

  2. Map and check

You say once what each column is. Every row is checked; every total stands beside the old system's.

  3. Approve

Only your approval of exactly that state writes anything into the books. Until something is touched, all of it can be reversed.

Who it is for

For people whose job is not bookkeeping

A maker sits at a potter's wheel in a bright workshop shaping a piece, with tools and other wheels around him.
A barista works behind the espresso machine of a small café, setting out cups.

A workshop, a studio, a shop, a practice, a team of four. People who have to write an invoice because they delivered something — and who would like books at the year's end that somebody takes seriously.

  • Independents who do all of it themselves
  • Small firms with one person on the numbers
  • Businesses whose customers are across a border

What it costs

Four plans, six currencies, and the amounts are printed.

A price chosen per market rather than converted — CA$79 is CA$79 this morning and this afternoon. There is no free tier and no trial, and nothing legally required or foundational to the bookkeeping is withheld to sell you a bigger plan.

Country and language

Two different questions, and we treat them that way.

  • DE
  • FR
  • BE
  • PL
  • US
  • CA
  • Deutsch
  • English
  • Français
  • Nederlands
  • Polski

Where your business is registered decides tax rules, invoice numbering, retention periods and your currency. Which language you read in decides none of that. A Belgian company working in French does not thereby become French.

Why you can trust it

We claim only what is in the code.

Two work-worn hands measuring a turned piece of wood with a pair of calipers.

No certification we have not been through, no seal we do not hold. What is actually built is on the security page, together with what is still missing.

  • We never store your bank credentials
  • Secrets are stored encrypted and never come back out
  • Every read is checked against your business and your rights
  • Posted entries stay put — the database will not allow otherwise

Create an account and write one invoice.

You need the country your business is registered in and ten minutes. Everything else — company details, chart of accounts, number ranges — comes into being as you go.
